Investors cold shoulder Diageo's United Spirits open offer       16th-May-2013
Of 3.8 crore shares of United Spirits that were on offer, shareholders tendered just 64,169 shares and only 58,688 scrips were accepted, according to a regulatory filing. Diageo had offered to buy shares at a price of Rs 1,440 per piece.
Heineken takes 3.2% stake in United Breweries       15th-May-2013
United Breweries, controlled by liquor baron Vijay Mallya, said in a stock exchange filing that Heineken UK Ltd had been allotted the stake formerly held by Scottish & Newcastle India Private Ltd, controlled by Heineken.

United Spirits open offer commenced today and will close on April 26, 2013. The open offer at Rs 1440 per share. At 10:35 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 1,776.20, down Rs 16.00, or 0.89 percent.
